In Pat’s personal statement he talks about his skiing experience and wrote, ‘The sport has also taught me to take responsibility for my failures and move forward with a positive mindset’ and adds, ‘We were taught by our coaches that collaboration, even in an individual sport, allows us to excel and learn from each other, as well as being able to count on each other in times of failure or hardship’ – great things for a young person to have learnt.

“Evolution is more than a great place for children to learn ski racing technique, it is a wonderful environment for children to learn more about themselves. Our son, J, has been skiing from a very young age. We have sought out coaches and programmes which offer great training and have a well thought out ethos. Evolution offers both by setting high standards for sport, and also, for interaction amongst the team members.

The staff at Evolution invest their time and their hearts into the development of the children in the programme. Our son, J, was expected to work hard on the slopes but also to be a good team mate, take responsibility for himself, his gear, and get his school work done. J has grown as a skier and as a person in wonderful ways during his time at Evo.

We are hugely appreciative of the time that has been invested to help J develop his organizational skills and work ethic.
